I’ll be teaching four classes at Handi Quilter Academy this summer in Layton, UT! Registration is open, so sign-up if you want to come. It’ll be a blast.
Friday, 6/28 @ 8 AM: “Rule the World”
I will cover everything rulers. Ruler work is a great way to add precision to your quilting. In this class you will learn how to combine rulers to create unique designs. I will also teach how to use fill-work and free-motion quilting to your ruler designs to elevate your quilting to the next level. You will be crowned the ruler of rulers after this class!
Friday, 6/28 @ 4 PM: “Edge-to-Edge Breakdown”
Ever feel overwhelmed by all the steps to remember for edge-to-edge quilting? Spend some time with me and learn how to break it down so it’s easy to remember. I will cover drag and drop, repositioning, wrapping, gap maintenance and much more. I will send you home with a handy guide to reference whenever you want to return to my strategies.
Saturday, 6/29 @ 8 AM: “Continuous Custom”
Learn how to quilt free motion and with rulers and stencils to map out a custom look but without all the starts and stops. Quilt from left to right within your throat space and have a custom look. This gives that extra touch without the extra time. Keeps your needle moving and your thread in one piece.
Saturday, 6/29 @ 10:30 AM: “Vintage Salvage and Upgrade”
Find yourself in possession of a unique vintage quilt but not sure what to do next? In this class, you’ll learn how to patch up any wear and tear from over the years and the best strategies for quilting to accent the existing pattern while being gentle enough to honor the integrity of the quilt. We will also cover taking those vintage linens and making something spectacular with them. The ultimate upcycle!
