Coral & Gray Star Baby Quilt
Just a few weeks ago, this baby quilt made its way home to a couple who is eagerly expecting a baby girl this summer. The gifter wanted something sweet and feminine but not overly girly. I, of course, was happy to oblige!
I loved piecing this one. The coral and gray really complement each other and I like that the star feels traditional without feeling old-fashioned. I bound it with a delicate lace edging and grosgrain ribbon which I think gives it a polished, sweet finish. Quilted, as always, on my Handi Quilter Infinity. I used a floral pattern in the white areas and a geometric linear pattern in the color blocks.
